I've tried a number of ways like this but nothing seems to work well, all are clunky. I think using the addon to read the ChatGPT responses is good but 1. speech recognition won't work well to make for a turn taking conversational experience 2. Speech recognition will only work well enough with adv. level speakers given the language models used. Speak.com has partnered with OpenAI and received a lot of venture funding. Here in Korea, they already have good penetration, Japan next. Have you tried https://talkpal.ai/? It does all this automatically with a very nice interface and free... for the time being.
